All new construction in Yellowknife starts with a Development Permit - whether your constructing, adding, altering, repairing, reconstructing, or relocating a building. 

Start at the City of Yellowknife Planning and Lands department.  There, you can get Form A - Develop Permit Application.

Once you've filled in everything you can on Form A, bring the form into our office so we can ensure that power service can be safely provided to your development.

One of our customer service representatives will gather your relevant information and should be able to provide you with a ball park estimate within 1 work week.

Pending your approval, an onsite visit will be conducted.  If a final design and route are decided upon after the site visit, a full estimate for cost of construction is prepared for you.

After you review your quote and pay a deposit, construction will be scheduled.
