A Notice to Our Yellowknife Customers

December 17, 2009 - In an effort to hold the line on rising costs, Northland Utilities in Yellowknife is introducing a new exciting Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) technology - PowerPlus™.

Over the next few months our field representatives will be replacing existing meters witih PowerPlus™ meters. You don't have to be home when your meter is changed and your power will be off for less than a minute.

AMR meters send information to us automatically - over the power lines. Among the benefits to you is an end to manual monthly reads. AMR also helps us to keep our costs down, which in the long term helps keep our rates low. Best of all, there's no additional cost to you.
