November 2, 2009 - A Message from Northland Utilities

To the residents of Hay River, Enterprise and the Katl'Odeeche First Nations:

Northland Utilities has been advised by the Northwest Territories Power Corporation that effective October 31/09 at 10:00AM, repairs to the Taltson Hydro system have been completed.  At that time, Northland Utilities discontinued operating the Hay River standby diesel power plant.

Northland Utilities would like to thank all of our customers for their patience and understanding while the Hay River standby diesel power plant was supplying our electricity. An additional thank you to all the businesses that operated their own standby generation to help Hay River get through this difficult time.
