Northland Utilities manages unwanted vegetation growth around electrical facilities primarily through mechanical methods (e.g. rototilling, mowing and trimming). In some circumstances where vegetation is removed, it is replaced with low growing bushes or trees in partnership with the community. Herbicide use is restricted to dandelion control.
