Yellowknife is an extraordinary place that almost 19,000 people call home.  Many consider it extraordinary due to its many official languages including (but not limited to): English, French, South Slavey, North Slavey, Gwich’in, Dogrib and Inuktituk. Others find it extraordinary because of its location - 62˚27N and 114˚22W - which is on the North shore of Great Slave Lake and approximately 400 kilometers South of the Arctic Circle.

Northland Utilities and its 25 employees think it is the people that we work with, socialize with and participate in community events with that make it extraordinary.

Every year, Northland Utilities is presented with the opportunity to support many local charities, functions, events, galas and festivals. Our employees have been active and continue to be active in supporting many of the groups improving the community of Yellowknife and N’Dilo. Some recent initiatives supported include:
